About

Like watching a classic cartoon come to life—live on stage.

'FERRY TALE!': A Fairy Tale is a love story nearly 100 years in the making.

Based on an incredible true story from 1933, set in the hometown of creator Adam Francis Proulx, a couple finds themselves on opposite sides of a river, separated by the Canada-U.S. border. Their solution? To ride the ferry back and forth together every day. Their daily journeys turn into a spectacle, catching the attention of Hollywood.

Originally developed at the Museum of Sault Ste. Marie, FERRY TALE blends puppetry, vintage visuals, live animation, and theatrical magic into one unforgettable experience. It’s romance, history, and handmade spectacle—told with heart, humour, and a little old-school flair.
